  • 0:00 | welcome back to the channel guys well
  • 0:01 | today is a day I’ve been looking forward
  • 0:03 | to for quite some time because I’m down
  • 0:05 | at faram Honda and I’m riding the brand
  • 0:08 | new Honda Hornet this is it here 1000c
  • 0:13 | Honda Hornet 150 horsepower 107 newton
  • 0:17 | meters of torque now this is a weapon
  • 0:20 | and what’s really amazing about this
  • 0:21 | bike is this Standard Version only costs
  • 0:26 | £99,000 £99,000 for a liter Naked Bike
  • 0:30 | putting at 150 horsepower how have Honda
  • 0:33 | done it well we’ll go into that a bit
  • 0:35 | later in the video but if you’re
  • 0:36 | interested in the Honda Hornet then this
  • 0:39 | is the video for you got to be a little
  • 0:41 | bit careful because it’s only 6° today
  • 0:43 | as you can say it’s a bit wet as well
  • 0:45 | and this bike only has two miles on the
  • 0:47 | clock so I’m the first one to take this
  • 0:49 | machine out and we’ve got brand new
  • 0:52 | tires so yeah we’re got a little bit
  • 0:54 | steady but I I’ll give you my thoughts
  • 0:55 | on this bike as some of you know I’ve
  • 0:57 | actually purchased one of these so I’ve
  • 0:59 | actually ordered an P I haven’t ridden
  • 1:01 | it yet so I’m incredibly interested to
  • 1:03 | see how this bike handles so uh if
  • 1:06 | you’re interested in Honda Hornet you
  • 1:07 | know you got to do sett yourself down
  • 1:10 | get yourself a cup of tea and chopy
  • 1:14 | int easy to
  • 1:17 | remember so hard to
  • 1:21 | forget the baby is a c
  • 1:24 | way how could I
  • 1:37 | so first of all I’ve got to say massive
  • 1:38 | thanks to the guys at phom Honda for
  • 1:40 | looking after me and letting me on this
  • 1:42 | bike first I mean literally first it’s
  • 1:45 | been to the garage to get some petrol
  • 1:47 | and a PDI that’s it it was only made
  • 1:49 | road legal yesterday so these have
  • 1:51 | literally just started hitting the
  • 1:52 | dealers you know right now so yeah
  • 1:55 | massive thanks to the guys at phom Honda
  • 1:56 | for letting me loose on this and I’m
  • 1:58 | going to be doing a lot more with the
  • 1:59 | guys here because of course I’m buying
  • 2:01 | my SP from here so we’re going to do the
  • 2:03 | collection from here so yeah expect to
  • 2:05 | see a lot more from the guys at P them
  • 2:07 | Honda we will stop and we’ll do a good
  • 2:10 | walk around of this bike you know in a
  • 2:12 | bit but um First
  • 2:15 | Impressions getting on
  • 2:17 | it I like it I like the a lot of people
  • 2:20 | said on the launch videos you know it’s
  • 2:23 | a bit small but sitting on it it’s got a
  • 2:26 | really sort of girthy feel to the front
  • 2:28 | there handle far are nice quite high
  • 2:33 | right let’s far up let’s fire up as I
  • 2:35 | say this bike is brand new so going take
  • 2:39 | it a little bit steady on it feels
  • 2:42 | really smooth it’s a Honda of course it
  • 2:45 | feels
  • 2:46 | smooth go it feels it feels agile that
  • 2:49 | really wants to change direction quickly
  • 2:52 | one thing Honda have done is they’ve put
  • 2:53 | a a 180 rear tire on it as opposed to
  • 2:57 | going actually just go this way as
  • 2:59 | supposed to go in sort of the 190 Route
  • 3:02 | on a liter bike they’ve gone
  • 3:04 | 18055 so you know a bit more dished but
  • 3:07 | not quite as wide and that is to I think
  • 3:09 | make the bike very agile bit like the
  • 3:11 | Hornet 750 was the same the riding
  • 3:14 | position is very comfortable it feels
  • 3:17 | like it’s got a reasonably low seat
  • 3:20 | height you do feel a tiny little bit
  • 3:22 | locked into to the seat I’m a big 20
  • 3:25 | stone fatty and I do feel a little bit
  • 3:28 | locked in but not as bad as like the BMW
  • 3:33 | XR or anything like that but I can feel
  • 3:37 | the back of the the rear seat like The
  • 3:39 | Bu show when I get off the bike back I
  • 3:41 | can just feel that near my bum so I’ve
  • 3:43 | not got that much room to move back and
  • 3:45 | forward the peg High I’d say
  • 3:49 | feels it feels like it’s a little bit
  • 3:52 | cramped I’m going to say the word
  • 3:54 | cramped not
  • 3:56 | excessively I’d say it’s similar to sort
  • 3:58 | of other bikes in this segment bit like
  • 4:00 | the toono you know you’ve you’ve got a
  • 4:02 | peg which is a reasonable height so
  • 4:04 | you’ve got that ground clearance but
  • 4:06 | it’s certainly not tight in the leg and
  • 4:09 | the bars are sort of right there so
  • 4:10 | you’re very upright you don’t you
  • 4:13 | haven’t got much weight on the front end
  • 4:15 | you know you sat quite upright on it so
  • 4:18 | it’s not like it’s got a flat bar and
  • 4:19 | you’re leaning over the front and you’re
  • 4:21 | loading the front wheel it they feel
  • 4:23 | quite upright so I’m actually sat quite
  • 4:25 | upright and I’ve got no real weight on
  • 4:27 | my wrists at all it’s a straight four
  • 4:30 | engine so these straight four engines
  • 4:33 | can be a little bit Buzzy and I can feel
  • 4:37 | a little bit of a buzz through the bike
  • 4:39 | mean bear in mind this bike’s got 3.6
  • 4:42 | mil on it so it is brand new but I can
  • 4:44 | feel a little bit of vibration through
  • 4:46 | the actual bike itself and a little bit
  • 4:48 | through the bars we see then that could
  • 4:50 | be a particular rev range so we’ll we’ll
  • 4:53 | watch that to see where the Vibes are
  • 4:57 | worse and if they become intrusive but
  • 4:58 | they certainly not intrusive but I can
  • 5:00 | feel a little bit of buzziness you know
  • 5:03 | through the seat through the tank as
  • 5:05 | well well I’ve got my my legs gripping
  • 5:08 | around the
  • 5:09 | tank oh it’s got a bit of pick up it’s
  • 5:13 | got It’s got some urgency to it once you
  • 5:15 | get sort of past 3,000 revs so if we
  • 5:17 | take her up to sort of 70 M hour now
  • 5:22 | those vibrations are no worse than what
  • 5:24 | they were low down so they’ve not become
  • 5:26 | worse as the ribs increases increases
  • 5:29 | can still feel a little bit through the
  • 5:32 | through the seat the seat feels bit sort
  • 5:34 | of uh sculpted as
  • 5:37 | well it feels like the seat might be a
  • 5:39 | bit hard so we’ll see how we get on with
  • 5:42 | that seat as as we uh carry on but first
  • 5:45 | impressions getting on the bike I’m not
  • 5:48 | going to be canceling my order let’s put
  • 5:50 | it that way it feels nice have a little
  • 5:53 | go on the
  • 5:55 | brakes yeah they feel pretty good
  • 5:57 | actually better than I was expecting
  • 5:59 | especially a b got two miles on the
  • 6:01 | clock normally takes a little while for
  • 6:03 | the brakes to even bed in they’re
  • 6:06 | they’re biting nicely already on the
  • 6:08 | standard one you don’t have the
  • 6:09 | styleemma calipers I you got niss nisson
  • 6:12 | calipers nisson
  • 6:14 | Master uh rubber rubber brake hoses as
  • 6:18 | well so the SP has the style EMAs but
  • 6:22 | actually I feels like a fair bit of bik
  • 6:24 | there we’ll see when we uh get onto
  • 6:27 | something which isn’t a dual Carriage r
  • 6:29 | I don’t want to do the whole video on
  • 6:30 | the Dual Carriage Way but I’ve want to
  • 6:32 | give you my first impressions and I’m
  • 6:34 | just trying to get to some decent roads
  • 6:36 | on the
  • 6:38 | brakes yeah feel good actually rear
  • 6:41 | breake yeah rear breake feels like a
  • 6:43 | rear breake it’s not masses to bite
  • 6:47 | there oh forgot it didn’t have a quick
  • 6:49 | shifter
  • 6:50 | there yeah it’s got a nice urgent pickup
  • 6:54 | it’s quite it’s quite
  • 6:55 | Punchy even at the mid-range bottom end
  • 7:00 | I don’t feel like I’m going to have to
  • 7:01 | be chasing the red line all the time
  • 7:03 | which you sometimes have to do on a
  • 7:04 | straight four to really get a Shifty on
  • 7:07 | but there’s a nice bit of mid-range a
  • 7:08 | nice bit of power there it’s quite quiet
  • 7:11 | the standard bike does not have the the
  • 7:13 | exhaust Val the SP is another five brake
  • 7:16 | horsepower more than the standard
  • 7:18 | version and that’s because it’s got an
  • 7:19 | exhaust valve which obviously opens when
  • 7:22 | you go over a certain rev
  • 7:24 | range and unleashes a bit more power so
  • 7:28 | this is obviously a bit bit more corked
  • 7:30 | up than the the SP version without the
  • 7:32 | valve so I think this will be quieter
  • 7:35 | but it’s a good amount of punch there I
  • 7:37 | love
  • 7:39 | that I’m getting really good feedback
  • 7:42 | from the tarmac this is a bumpy bit of
  • 7:44 | Road obviously very wet as well I’ve got
  • 7:46 | brand new tires so I I’ve got to take it
  • 7:49 | a bit steady but I’m I can feel exactly
  • 7:52 | what the TAC doing you know on the
  • 7:54 | launch reviews obviously they were in
  • 7:56 | Spain and they were hammering around the
  • 7:57 | twisties and you know every all the
  • 8:00 | feedback from everyone the handling was
  • 8:01 | amazing but I can just what’s what’s
  • 8:04 | impressing is even going in the wet slow
  • 8:07 | in the cold I can feel the tarmac really
  • 8:11 | good feed feedback from the tarmac even
  • 8:14 | on this standard bike and I think that
  • 8:17 | 180 rear tire the 55 profile 55 profile
  • 8:22 | for Japanese manufacturer they never put
  • 8:24 | 55s on their bikes always 50s but it it
  • 8:27 | feels agile and the way Honda a to set
  • 8:31 | the center of gravity on this they they
  • 8:33 | put quite a lot of weight on the nose
  • 8:35 | and I think that’s why I’m getting that
  • 8:37 | feeling from the nose even though I’m
  • 8:38 | not sat over the front of the bike I’m
  • 8:41 | sat upright cuz the engine’s quite far
  • 8:43 | forward it is loading the front wheel so
  • 8:47 | I’m getting some good feedback from the
  • 8:48 | front end I could see how you could sort
  • 8:51 | of push this and feel for grip because I
  • 8:53 | can really feel exactly what the time’s
  • 8:56 | doing I really like that the old CB ,000
  • 9:00 | I could never get it to handle right it
  • 9:02 | didn’t feel right you know that the neoc
  • 9:04 | CF version they did the previous one to
  • 9:06 | this it just didn’t handle nicely and I
  • 9:09 | I I I said it could be the suspension
  • 9:11 | and I played around the suspension and
  • 9:13 | firmed it up but it never felt like a
  • 9:16 | machine built for the twisties and I
  • 9:19 | don’t think it ever was it was of more
  • 9:21 | of a caferacer you know straight line
  • 9:24 | bike this is completely different even
  • 9:27 | just jumping on this now on this soaking
  • 9:30 | wet roads it’s egging me to go faster
  • 9:33 | and I love that in a bike I love a bike
  • 9:35 | which eggs you to push it on this is a
  • 9:37 | Riders machine this isn’t just about
  • 9:39 | going to the coffee shops I can tell you
  • 9:41 | right now this is about hitting the
  • 9:43 | twisties having some fun already riding
  • 9:47 | this for 10 minutes I can tell you this
  • 9:49 | is an absolute bargain for 9,000 if I
  • 9:54 | had to guess the price of this machine
  • 9:57 | I’d be saying sort of 12 12 ,000 and
  • 10:00 | then maybe 13 13 and a half for the SP
  • 10:03 | maybe even 14 for the SP I’m rid it so
  • 10:06 | but just on the
  • 10:07 | spec n
  • 10:11 | 9,000 how Honda have done that is
  • 10:14 | basically you know this is an old engine
  • 10:16 | this is a 2017 Fireblade
  • 10:19 | engine who cares you know a fantastic
  • 10:22 | power plant that is that’s not like the
  • 10:24 | new fireb engine which is basically a
  • 10:26 | race engine all the power is at the top
  • 10:28 | 20 2017 was when fire blades were made
  • 10:32 | primarily as Road as a good road sports
  • 10:34 | bike and they had a good deal of grunt
  • 10:37 | you know low down anyway so when this is
  • 10:39 | actually tuned for Grant and a bit less
  • 10:41 | at the top it’s it’s impressive and I
  • 10:43 | know it’s only they say it’s only uh you
  • 10:47 | know 107 Newton M which doesn’t sound
  • 10:49 | like a huge amount of torque for a liter
  • 10:52 | bike but I’m surprised I’m impressed I
  • 10:55 | was a bit worried that it might be
  • 10:56 | really flat at the bottom and in the
  • 10:59 | middle but it’s really not it’s got a
  • 11:02 | load of
  • 11:08 | drive so let’s have a little bit of a
  • 11:10 | walk around the machine and see uh what
  • 11:13 | we can spot what’s of Interest so first
  • 11:16 | of all you know let let’s talk about the
  • 11:18 | things I’m not so keen on and the things
  • 11:19 | I’ve mentioned already this is the this
  • 11:22 | Frame now this Frame is unique for this
  • 11:25 | bike you know it’s designed for this
  • 11:26 | bike it’s it’s a ground up built frame
  • 11:29 | it’s not used in any other models but as
  • 11:31 | I mentioned you can see where it’s all
  • 11:34 | one piece there’s no it could be bolted
  • 11:36 | on here but it’s not it’s all one piece
  • 11:38 | don’t know really why they’ve done that
  • 11:40 | but you know there no problem is it but
  • 11:42 | if you did have an off and damage the
  • 11:44 | rear as I said you’d have to uh replace
  • 11:46 | the whole frame you can see it’s an OD
  • 11:48 | little there look the world there it’s a
  • 11:52 | little bit cheap looking isn’t it that
  • 11:55 | wild there but you know overall there’s
  • 11:58 | a really nice look nice finish to the
  • 12:01 | engine on this one as an option you can
  • 12:04 | get little F side pods that go on here
  • 12:07 | obviously as I said this one is
  • 12:08 | completely stock so it’s got none of
  • 12:11 | those little extras you can also get a
  • 12:13 | little deflector which goes here as well
  • 12:16 | but I really like that headlike cow and
  • 12:19 | you know it’s everyone said it that
  • 12:21 | there’s more than a resemblance to the
  • 12:23 | tassi street fighter there isn’t there
  • 12:25 | twin lights inside of there and they
  • 12:27 | actually look really cool don’t they
  • 12:29 | with the little running light on top and
  • 12:32 | the little little projector lamps in
  • 12:34 | there you get the indicators on all the
  • 12:37 | time like as a running light I’m not
  • 12:39 | keen on that with Hondas either to be
  • 12:41 | honest but hey ho I can live with it the
  • 12:44 | base bike does have the nen calipers but
  • 12:46 | I’m I’m impressed with the the
  • 12:48 | performance and feel of those I was
  • 12:49 | expecting it to feel a lot more wooden
  • 12:51 | than that the exhaust is big it is
  • 12:53 | bulbous of course it is you know they’ve
  • 12:56 | got to get these bikes through euro 5
  • 12:58 | emission control you know and as I
  • 13:00 | mentioned you they’ve not wasted too
  • 13:03 | much money designing something which is
  • 13:06 | a bit smaller they’ve sort of think hang
  • 13:07 | on people are going to change it anyway
  • 13:09 | let’s just Chuck on a great big can get
  • 13:11 | it through the emissions and then people
  • 13:12 | can swap those out aftermarket or we
  • 13:15 | were off of the nice SC project if
  • 13:17 | people want to make it look a little bit
  • 13:18 | better I’ve got size 12 ft and
  • 13:21 | occasionally I felt it touched this
  • 13:24 | guard so I think that guard is very much
  • 13:27 | there for a reason rear tail light like
  • 13:29 | Compact and sporty and then you’ve got
  • 13:31 | the indicators down on this Arrangement
  • 13:34 | here so obviously that is you know the
  • 13:37 | tail is is awful I quite like the little
  • 13:40 | like fins in it but you know that’s a
  • 13:42 | legal requirement I like the fact you’ve
  • 13:44 | got a hugger a rear hugger standard so
  • 13:46 | that’s nice and it’s actually a
  • 13:48 | reasonable length as well it’s not
  • 13:50 | really short you can see there’s a fair
  • 13:52 | bit of crud throwing up and you got the
  • 13:55 | rectifier at the back of the bike here
  • 13:57 | so the rectifier is quite exposed here’s
  • 13:59 | that Fireblade derived engine from the
  • 14:02 | left hand
  • 14:04 | side it’s all you know it’s all very
  • 14:06 | exposed here isn’t it under the tail
  • 14:09 | ooh well you’ve actually got a bit of
  • 14:12 | storage there I would call that
  • 14:15 | storage ah there you go there’s a USB so
  • 14:18 | there’s a USB charger under the bike
  • 14:20 | here as standard as I mentioned that the
  • 14:23 | seat is quite contoured to your ass and
  • 14:26 | it is it’s a bit hard at the back here
  • 14:29 | so I’ve not got any body pain at the
  • 14:32 | moment but I can probably see on a
  • 14:34 | longer trip that that that is quite a
  • 14:37 | hard seat to be honest and that’s what I
  • 14:39 | could feel on my ass just this behind me
  • 14:42 | so it’s quite a little compact seat
  • 14:45 | you’ve not got masses of room to move
  • 14:47 | around if you’re any fatter than me you
  • 14:49 | might struggle there’s not many people
  • 14:51 | fatter than me let’s be honest switch
  • 14:53 | gear is pretty basic but it actually
  • 14:55 | feels quite nice I’m not sure if it’s
  • 14:57 | illuminated let’s see if if we can tell
  • 14:59 | if it’s illuminated I don’t think
  • 15:01 | there’s any illumination on this piece
  • 15:03 | around the switch gear so not
  • 15:05 | illuminated switch gear but hey ho at
  • 15:08 | the price point I’m not going to
  • 15:10 | complain about that let’s go through
  • 15:12 | some of the options with the dash you’ve
  • 15:14 | got a mode button which will obviously
  • 15:17 | just just take you through the standard
  • 15:19 | riding modes you do have these user
  • 15:21 | modes so you also have some options on
  • 15:24 | how the dash looks so let’s try the the
  • 15:27 | circular
  • 15:31 | option oh there we
  • 15:33 | go your fuel
  • 15:36 | range and level riding
  • 15:40 | mode here we go so this is how you
  • 15:42 | configure your riding mode so I want
  • 15:46 | full power I’m going to try a bit more
  • 15:48 | engine braking and then you can have
  • 15:51 | traction control off if you wish yeah
  • 15:54 | there we go so my user one
  • 15:56 | mode has traction control off cuz you
  • 15:59 | got a little light to tell you your
  • 16:01 | traction controls off so if I to turn
  • 16:04 | the bike on and off I wonder if that
  • 16:06 | traction control stays off so if you if
  • 16:09 | I go back to user one after turning the
  • 16:11 | bike off I think the traction control is
  • 16:13 | back on again so that is a bit of a pain
  • 16:16 | in the backside isn’t it so you have to
  • 16:18 | go
  • 16:19 | in to
  • 16:21 | configure function riding
  • 16:25 | modes yeah look and it’s come back on
  • 16:27 | again so that is you’ve got to go for
  • 16:30 | all those steps to turn off the traction
  • 16:33 | control you know the health and safety
  • 16:34 | bods have had their input there hav’t
  • 16:36 | they health and safety bods trying to
  • 16:39 | stop people’s
  • 16:45 | fun yes very very impressive at the
  • 16:49 | price point and I think very impressive
  • 16:52 | if it was £12,000 I’d still be
  • 16:55 | impressed certainly impressed with how
  • 16:57 | Dynamic the bike is to ride how much
  • 17:00 | feedback I’m getting from the
  • 17:02 | tarmac you know those are the
  • 17:05 | things which really matter to me if I’m
  • 17:08 | buying a bike like this a sports naked I
  • 17:11 | want to be able to get a rle on I want
  • 17:13 | to be able to push it I want to be able
  • 17:14 | to feel what the road’s doing I don’t
  • 17:17 | want a a sort of numb feeling and you’ve
  • 17:20 | definitely got that on this so that’s
  • 17:22 | that’s that’s fantastic news what is
  • 17:25 | impressive and even more impressive at
  • 17:28 | this price point point is the suspension
  • 17:31 | it does feel quality I mean if you look
  • 17:34 | at the some of the competition at
  • 17:36 | £99,000 you’re on the real budget
  • 17:39 | suspension you you’re on the some of the
  • 17:41 | suspension which is non-adjustable fully
  • 17:43 | on some of those bikes and on this
  • 17:46 | you’ve got fully adjustable
  • 17:49 | suspension but it feels
  • 17:52 | premium you know it doesn’t have any
  • 17:54 | sort of budget for this is this is what
  • 17:56 | this bike is like it’s you know it is
  • 17:59 | a 9,000 lb motorcycle but it just does
  • 18:03 | not feel like a 9,000 lb motorcycle
  • 18:05 | there’s a th000 of each of the bikes
  • 18:07 | coming into the UK there’s a th000 SPS
  • 18:10 | there’s a th000 standard ones coming
  • 18:12 | this year and just speaking to to Noah
  • 18:17 | at farom Honda and they’re saying
  • 18:19 | basically you know most people are
  • 18:20 | buying the SP of course they are you you
  • 18:23 | get an old in shock sty M calipers
  • 18:26 | another five bre horsepower I think
  • 18:27 | another four newers a torque and the
  • 18:30 | quick shifter you know for £1,000 extra
  • 18:33 | that’s a hell of a lot for for
  • 18:35 | £1,000 so of course I think 90% of the
  • 18:38 | people are buying the SP but the SP only
  • 18:42 | comes in the black or the sort of gray
  • 18:44 | matte and the gold wheels the standard
  • 18:47 | one comes in some different colors and
  • 18:48 | i’ just they’ve got a red one in the
  • 18:50 | showroom and I’ll show you when we get
  • 18:52 | there the red actually looks really nice
  • 18:53 | it’s definitely got more than a little
  • 18:55 | bit of dcti Street Fighter about it in
  • 18:56 | the red so I can see why people may
  • 18:59 | think well I’m not bothered about all
  • 19:00 | those extras I’d rather get the color I
  • 19:03 | want and if and that’s if that’s a
  • 19:05 | decision you’ve made and I can tell you
  • 19:07 | you won’t be disappointed with the
  • 19:09 | standard B if the SP didn’t exist I’ll
  • 19:12 | be just as happy to buy this it would
  • 19:14 | have been nice if cruise control was an
  • 19:16 | option but it’s not even an option you
  • 19:18 | can’t fit cruise control so that is a
  • 19:20 | shame that’s something its competitors
  • 19:22 | do have you know the liter bike
  • 19:23 | competitors do have cruise control the
  • 19:26 | overall feel of the bike is just just
  • 19:29 | you know very easy to ride very Honda
  • 19:32 | smooth lovely
  • 19:34 | gearbox mean the engine I think is
  • 19:37 | absolutely
  • 19:38 | superb I say it’s a tiny little bit of
  • 19:42 | Vibes I noticed when I first got on it
  • 19:43 | but now I’ve been going for a while you
  • 19:46 | know it’s it’s it’s no bother but
  • 19:48 | neutral straight way into neutral so I
  • 19:51 | think basically Honda are onto an
  • 19:54 | absolute winner with this machine I
  • 19:58 | think it’s going to tick a lot of boxes
  • 20:01 | for a lot of people and I guess the
  • 20:04 | biggest decision you got to make is do
  • 20:06 | you get the SP or do you get the
  • 20:07 | standard one well I think for an extra
  • 20:10 | ,000 you know if your budget could
  • 20:12 | stretch the extra ,000 I think the SP
  • 20:16 | will be the one to get and I think
  • 20:18 | mainly probably due to the fact it’s got
  • 20:20 | a bit more torque and a bit more power
  • 20:23 | know everything else I guess you can
  • 20:26 | address and I guess you can change but I
  • 20:28 | mean the standard setup is very very
  • 20:32 | good and and much better than I thought
  • 20:34 | it was going to be you know the
  • 20:36 | plushness of the ride is good I mean
  • 20:39 | it’s it’s a firm it’s a it’s a sporty
  • 20:42 | ride they’ve set this up as a sporty
  • 20:46 | ride cuz like I say I can feel exactly
  • 20:48 | what this time’s doing beneath me I
  • 20:50 | could feel more less every little bit of
  • 20:54 | texture on it you know and I’m not I’m
  • 20:56 | not saying that in a bad way and it’s
  • 20:58 | not crashy but it is firm you know and
  • 21:01 | of course it is fully adjustable as well
  • 21:03 | but sometimes you know you can twiddle
  • 21:05 | your adjusters all day long it it won’t
  • 21:08 | really make much difference but this
  • 21:10 | bike has been set up to be a nice sporty
  • 21:14 | thing and look at that
  • 21:16 | drive I mean there’s plenty of low down
  • 21:19 | grunt as well and that’s another
  • 21:21 | surprise I thought it might be missing a
  • 21:23 | bit of that low down grunt there is when
  • 21:26 | you rideing this bike I mean even the
  • 21:27 | brakes on this they’re really nice just
  • 21:30 | I was expecting it to feel a bit wooden
  • 21:33 | you know I was expecting it to feel a
  • 21:34 | bit Suzuki like and a little bit dull at
  • 21:36 | the Leever and a little bit wooden but
  • 21:39 | you can just feather it and you’ve got
  • 21:40 | you know I’m not going really hard on
  • 21:42 | the brakes because I can’t because of
  • 21:43 | the conditions but there’s a nice feel
  • 21:46 | at the lever and I’m really surprised by
  • 21:48 | that bad points of the machine as I
  • 21:51 | mentioned very very
  • 21:55 | slightly snatchy throttle and I’ve got
  • 21:57 | this now with the
  • 21:59 | the maximum engine braking and that is
  • 22:01 | actually a nice amount of engine braking
  • 22:03 | it’s nice to have adjustable engine
  • 22:05 | braking that that is a good a good extra
  • 22:08 | to have on a bike and you don’t get that
  • 22:10 | very often on 9,000 lb motorcycles so
  • 22:13 | that’s a nice addition I don’t like the
  • 22:15 | fact that the frame is one piece which I
  • 22:18 | I keep mentioning but hey ho that’s only
  • 22:21 | ever a problem unless you smash it to
  • 22:23 | Pieces what else there there’s very
  • 22:26 | little else to really really
  • 22:29 | highlight of negatives and that’s not
  • 22:33 | you know that’s not based on the price
  • 22:34 | point that’s based on any bike no matter
  • 22:36 | what the price there’s very few
  • 22:38 | negatives I don’t like the you have to
  • 22:40 | do about five different button presses
  • 22:42 | to turn off the traction control and you
  • 22:46 | can’t do it while you’re rolling so
  • 22:47 | you’ve got Fanny around before you set
  • 22:49 | off if you want to have a bit of fun and
  • 22:51 | pull a few weedies personal nigle I
  • 22:53 | don’t like the indicators being on all
  • 22:55 | the time as like you know sort of
  • 22:57 | driving light
  • 22:59 | don’t like that but again that’s just a
  • 23:01 | thing Honda do I mentioned sort of Vibes
  • 23:04 | through the bik I’m completely used to
  • 23:06 | any Vibes on this machine there’s
  • 23:08 | nothing intrusive Vibe wise on this bike
  • 23:11 | at all like I say you can feel the
  • 23:14 | engine a little bit you can feel what
  • 23:16 | it’s doing you’re not completely
  • 23:17 | isolated from the bike you know and
  • 23:19 | probably a bit more so than some other
  • 23:21 | bikes maybe um but it’s not a problem
  • 23:24 | and and those vibes don’t get worse as
  • 23:26 | the revs increase that that’s the main
  • 23:28 | thing so Motorway speeds they don’t
  • 23:30 | become intrusive or annoying the seat is
  • 23:34 | a little bit locked in so I’m a big
  • 23:36 | fatty so it is a little bit locked in in
  • 23:38 | the seat and I doesn’t feel like masses
  • 23:40 | of padding either so I think a full day
  • 23:42 | in the saddle could see you with a
  • 23:44 | little bit of a sore body and because
  • 23:46 | you’ve got that very upright riding
  • 23:48 | position you’ve got a lot of weight
  • 23:50 | through your bum as well I will be
  • 23:52 | collecting my SP version in about a
  • 23:55 | month’s time so my SP will be ready in a
  • 23:57 | month’s time we’re going to go up I’m
  • 23:59 | going to go up to the guys when my bike
  • 24:00 | arrives and actually do a little bit of
  • 24:03 | video you know about how what happens
  • 24:05 | with the PDI process and all of that
  • 24:08 | look at this look at this so if you’re
  • 24:11 | interested in seeing how I get on with
  • 24:13 | the whole sort of buying and ownership
  • 24:15 | experience in my version of The Hornet
  • 24:17 | SP then don’t forget to subscribe and
  • 24:20 | I’ll be picking mine up in a few week’s
  • 24:22 | time I am very excited I was a bit
  • 24:25 | worried before you know ordering a bike
  • 24:27 | without riding it is a risky you know I
  • 24:31 | I did it because of the Fantastic
  • 24:32 | reviews which were done online as part
  • 24:34 | of the launch and after riding this base
  • 24:37 | one I’ve made the right decision I’m
  • 24:39 | completely happy and really excited now
  • 24:42 | about getting me own one so all that’s
  • 24:44 | left to be said is massive thanks to
  • 24:45 | faram Honda for letting me out on this
  • 24:47 | as the first person to ride this bike
  • 24:49 | and letting me have a really early test
  • 24:51 | ride on this machine that’s really
  • 24:53 | appreciated and massive thanks to Noah
  • 24:55 | for looking after me buying mine and
  • 24:57 | going for all the options and and
  • 24:59 | talking me through you know how the
  • 25:01 | payment plans and all that sort of stuff
  • 25:03 | as well so big old shout out to Noah and
  • 25:05 | he’s a subscriber as well so he gets he
  • 25:07 | gets double thumbs up so thanks for
  • 25:09 | watching guys as always ride safe out
  • 25:12 | there and I’ll see you soon
