  • 0:00 | Are budget dash cams really worth your money?
I’m not sure but let’s find out! Hi everyone
  • 0:09 | and welcome back to the channel today we’re
diving into the world of dash cams this is
  • 0:16 | a dual camera setup that should be perfect
for capturing every detail on the road both
  • 0:22 | in front of you and behind you this is
    a 4K dash cam paired with a 1080p rear
  • 0:29 | camera promising Crystal Clear footage day
or night whether you’re capturing stunning
  • 0:36 | Road views or gathering crucial evidence in an
accident this dual camera system should have you
  • 0:43 | covered this dash cam feels very
solid in hands it has an aluminum
  • 0:53 | front panel and the rest is constructed
of plastic including the buttons it’s got
  • 1:00 | 170° wide angle of view a six layer Optical lens
    with a 1.8 aperture there’s a 3-in IPS display
  • 1:11 | and it has built-in Wi-Fi and it comes
with a 64 GB micro SD card pre-installed
  • 1:30 | in this bag we have the 1080p
    rear camera that also comes
  • 1:35 | with two sticky pads to stick it to your rear
  • 1:37 | window we have a plastic prying
tool which is Handy for poking
  • 1:50 | the wires beneath your trim so they are nicely
  • 1:53 | hidden in this bag we have the 12v power cable
that also has an extra USB port to power other
  • 2:06 | devices the cable is a decent length with a USBC
  • 2:16 | connection and this is for mounting
the dash cam to your front window
  • 2:32 | screen and this little pin
    is for resetting the dash
  • 2:42 | cam so let’s peel this label off turn
it on and we’ll dive into some of its
  • 2:54 | features first of all I must mention that this
Dash dash cam only runs for 3 to 5 minutes on
  • 3:03 | its internal battery the internal battery is
really only for saving footage to the micro
  • 3:09 | SD card when you power off the device so it
must be connected to power at all times and
  • 3:17 | as you saw the dash cam booted up nice and
fast and it immediately started recording as
  • 3:23 | soon as I powered it on the camera also starts
recording as soon as you turn your ignition on
  • 3:36 | so let’s look at some of the settings within this
camera the colors on the 3-in display look really
  • 3:43 | nice and the text looks lovely and sharp but
unfortunately this isn’t a touchscreen display
  • 3:51 | so we need to use the buttons at the side of the
device to navigate through its menus which can be
  • 3:58 | a little frustrating at first because you need
to navigate with the up and down buttons on the
  • 4:03 | left and then you need to press the okay button
which is on the right this just takes a little
  • 4:09 | bit of getting used to so in the beep sound
option this is where we turn those clicking
  • 4:16 | noises off when we’re navigating through its
menus we can set the camera to 50 HZ or 60
  • 4:22 | HZ then we have all your language
  • 4:31 | options we can set the resolution to 4K 2K or
  • 4:42 | 1080p we can set loop recording from one minute
to 3 minutes Loop recording will automatically
  • 4:58 | overwrite all def files with newer ones when
the device is running out of storage then we
  • 5:05 | have g sensor which detects sudden changes in
motion during an impact it triggers the dash
  • 5:11 | cam to protect and safe the relevant footage
so it can’t be overwritten then we have your
  • 5:17 | parking mode which allows the camera to
record while the car is parked and the
  • 5:22 | engine is off and then we have a time-lapse
setting which can be changed between 1 FP
  • 5:29 | s and 5 FPS we can also set the time
lapse duration between 8 hours and 24
  • 5:37 | hours in the Wi-Fi section these are the
details you enter when pairing it to your
  • 5:50 | mobile phone once you’ve downloaded the video app
  • 6:02 | then we have a screen saver option so these
are the settings between 1 minute and 5
  • 6:09 | minutes and in these settings we can turn
the microphone on or off so if we don’t
  • 6:21 | want the dash cam to capture any audio then we
just come into these settings and turn it off
  • 6:29 | what’s really nice is they’ve added an
exposure setting so if the image is too
  • 6:35 | bright or dark just come into these
settings and reduce or increase the
  • 6:39 | exposure and to my surprise there’s
an auto white balance option which
  • 6:47 | is really nice to have on a dash
cam and these are all the settings
  • 7:08 | and lastly we have an auto power off function
where we can have from 1 minutes to 5 minutes
  • 7:17 | overall I’m really impressed with the
options that’s available on this dash
  • 7:21 | cam the picture also looks excellent
when viewing on the back of the display
  • 7:47 | in the manual you will find a QR code
just scan this with your phone using
  • 7:53 | your camera and it will directly take
you to the app that you need to download
  • 8:07 | so just hit install and it
    will download straight to your
  • 8:10 | mobile and now the app has downloaded you
need to enter these Wi-Fi details into your
  • 8:24 | phone’s Wi-Fi settings to directly connect
to the dash cam itself so I’ll show you this
  • 8:30 | now once you have connected
    to the device’s Wi-Fi just
  • 8:57 | put in your password and it should connect to the
  • 9:00 | app and now you can see all the video
footage from earlier and now we’re all
  • 9:09 | set up we can quickly download the footage
straight to our phone in the event of an
  • 9:14 | accident which is a really handy feature
rather than keep taking out the SD card
  • 9:29 | and this is the little handwave I did
  • 9:31 | earlier we can also change some of the
dash cam settings in the application
  • 9:53 | itself rather than manually doing it on the
dash cam which I thought was a really nice
  • 10:00 | touch and if we’re running out of
space we can quickly format the SD
  • 10:16 | card so those were some of the features
and settings within this dash cam let’s
  • 10:28 | move on to installing it and putting it to the
  • 10:31 | test to install the mounting
bracket to the dash cam just
  • 10:41 | put it into the square socket and slide it across
  • 11:17 | and simply find a place on your
window screen and twist to lock
  • 11:22 | it the rear 1080p dash cams connect
  • 11:29 | uses a jack plug just plug this into the top of
the dash cam and run the wire to the back of the
  • 11:36 | car and now we’re at the back of the car just peel
  • 11:53 | off the sticky tab find a suitable
place and stick it to your window
  • 12:24 | the rear dash cam also pivots up
and down so you can get the right
  • 12:29 | angle so let’s get out on the road so
you can see what the video quality is
  • 12:37 | like for this test I’ll be driving to Ramsgate
Harbour I’ll be switching from the front dash
  • 13:02 | cam to the back dash cam so you can see
the difference in quality both day and
  • 13:07 | night now you may be able to see a
few lines in the video footage this
  • 13:20 | is just my dashboard reflecting
up onto my window screen so I’m
  • 13:24 | really sorry about that just know
it’s not a fault with this camera
  • 13:38 | when editing this video I was very impressed by
the picture quality of this dash cam it was a
  • 13:46 | super sunny day and the exposure was set at zero
and it was handling highlights excellently you
  • 13:54 | can see every single Cloud without the sky being
blown out the image looks nice and sharp and the
  • 14:02 | colors look very good indeed what’s really great
about 4K resolution is it offers four times the
  • 14:10 | amount of pixels as full HD providing a level of
detail that is truly remarkable we can zoom in
  • 14:18 | from a distance and still pick out number plates
if we need to the clarity remains sharp ensuring
  • 14:25 | that important details are not pixelated I’m
going to let this video play out now without
  • 14:33 | commenting and you can be the judge of how
good this dash cam looks along Ramsgate Harbor
  • 18:06 | so now it’s dark we stopped at some traffic
lights there’s a car behind us and as you can
  • 18:12 | see we can still pick out all the details
from the number plate I’ll now drive back
  • 18:19 | to Ramsgate Harbor Drive along the pier so
you can see the difference now it’s dark
  • 21:53 | with these set of shots I got out my car
and I attached the dash cam to a portable
  • 21:58 | power bank I then paned the harbor in
different resolutions so you can see
  • 22:04 | the quality without the glass
window screen being in the way
  • 22:33 | so my final thoughts if you’re in the market for
a high quality dash cam that doesn’t just record
  • 22:39 | great footage but also makes it incredibly
easy to access and share your videos this
  • 22:46 | is definitely one to consider the combined
4K front camera and the 1080p rear camera
  • 22:54 | you get full coverage ensuring that every
moment on the road is captured from both
  • 22:59 | perspectives it’s like having an extra set
of Eyes giving you peace of mind on every
  • 23:06 | drive so that’s it for this review if you found
this video helpful please give it a thumbs up
  • 23:20 | and if you want to see more videos like this one
