  • 0:12 | hello folks welcome back to the channel thank you very much for joining me once again you are always most welcome today
  • 0:19 | something we’ve been waiting for it feels like for forever complained last year when AIX
  • 0:25 | were a bit slow with their their Buccaneer coming through at Christmas from 23 to 24 but this year we’ve had an
  • 0:31 | absolute much worse scenario with Tamar Tamar of all people what obviously
  • 0:37 | there’s been some logistical issues but we’ve been waiting for this kit the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS the 992
  • 0:45 | Edition uh an absolutely amazing car it seems but this kit was supposed to come out in November of
  • 0:53 | 24th supposed to be at scale model world at tford uh and in fact um hobo the
  • 0:59 | Imports for Tom are in the UK even commissioned somebody to to build one for them Jonathan mock in fact from the
  • 1:04 | inst modeling company and he did a nice job of it um but it wasn’t there and I was saying where is it where is it ah
  • 1:10 | well and they didn’t have any boxes of this and no samples of it or anything so it just never came and obviously decided
  • 1:16 | not to show it it’s a bit a shame uh especially after he done a nice job of it for them anyway but these things
  • 1:22 | happen you know and um I guess it’s global Shipping but it’s three months late it’s a quarter of a year late so
  • 1:27 | it’s just come through mid mid fed anyway without further Ado we’ll try and forgive them um I just want to say by
  • 1:33 | the way my Tam lapel badge on today supporting them trying to I’m a bit cross with them but I’m going to try and
  • 1:39 | forgive them uh and I would have been wearing my Tamar I’ve got a beautiful black Tamar shirt that a good friend
  • 1:45 | Steve keer Steve’s vintage model bills who got me that from the Tamar um headquarters in Japan but since
  • 1:53 | Christmas I have actually put on a couple of pounds this is this is not Steve’s fault he’s got me something that
  • 1:59 | should fit and it’s a little bit tight and I thought I think I wear that one not today anyway but I am going to the
  • 2:05 | gym twice a week so I should lose weight and get into it it’s very Sid there you go anyway thanks Steve so got your bad
  • 2:11 | job anyway more about the 911 so the 992 for those of you that don’t know
  • 2:16 | anything about Porsches and find them the numbering n nenat quite hard to follow including me uh the 992 is the
  • 2:22 | very latest generation they’ve actually brought out a 92.1 actually in 2024 uh
  • 2:28 | but this they always have their ultimate Motorsport version is always the last of each generation so this is the Pinnacle that
  • 2:34 | you can buy at the moment and it’s an ultra lightweight basically track car but that can be used on the road it is
  • 2:41 | road legal and it’s you know can be driven on the road uh whether You’ want to on the roads around anywhere where I
  • 2:46 | live cuz well we won’t get into that the road State condition in the UK in plac
  • 2:51 | is absolutely Dreadful never been worse but anyway so what we have here it’s um
  • 2:57 | Tamar’s kit number 370 it’s 24 scale car um comes I’m told
  • 3:06 | with pretty much everything you need so uh it even has a very sexy have
  • 3:11 | you seen this it’s got a very sexy sort of hologram on it which I thought was very cool look at this see this down at
  • 3:17 | the bottom saying it’s an officially endorsed product by Porsche
  • 3:23 | um now anybody who is uh anybody who follows the the state of the Motoring
  • 3:29 | industry which isn’t in a great condition right now um Porsche have just
  • 3:35 | announced that they are they seem to be dropping plans for going all electric and are bringing back
  • 3:42 | hybrid cars with internal combustion engines as well as electric motors which I think personally is very sensible
  • 3:49 | especially given the way things are going um in the UK certainly we we were
  • 3:54 | never going to be all electric by 2030 and I said so when it was announced so I’m sure a lot of you feel the same way
  • 4:01 | anyway that’s great news cuz real cars will stay stay into the Future Let’s have a look at this then so it says
  • 4:07 | detail static display model with a powerful form with air vents and fins recreated in style accurate depictions
  • 4:15 | of suspension and racing interior metal transfers for side mirrors and lights
  • 4:21 | four colors of decals for the side logo so you got four choices and what we have on the
  • 4:27 | side so I’m not sure right red Wheels mind you I never like wheels that are not really sort of I like smoked silver
  • 4:34 | type I’m not keen on black I’m not keen on gold you know but look at this look
  • 4:40 | at this it has this incredible swan neck rear wing huge rear wing like a tea tray
  • 4:45 | see it massive and it has DRS so in other words it has an open a drag
  • 4:52 | reduction system that open opens and closes the rear wing can have it in red you can have it there they’ve got it in
  • 4:58 | pearl white um I should just make a comment as well before I get into the kit I’ll just show
  • 5:04 | that side think oh it says here 2022 Ed here we go a 2022 edition of the
  • 5:10 | legendary ever evolving Porsche 911 series The GT3 RS is a high performance car with strong circuit orientated
  • 5:18 | design uh the Bonnet sorry the Bonnet and wings the H
  • 5:24 | or in America you’d say the hood and fenders uh have vents the wheel arches
  • 5:30 | and roof are equipped with fins and made of carbon fiber its massive rear wing has drag reduction system uh and offers
  • 5:37 | seriously refined aerodynamics with liberal use of carbon fiber uh carbon
  • 5:43 | fiber reinforced plastic as well all over the body ensuring light weight the rear mounted flat 6cylinder engine
  • 5:51 | provides 525 PS which is a lot and it weighs I think 1,400 kilos
  • 5:57 | the actual car anyway there you go you can see it there Carbon on um and there’s some decals to to recreate that
  • 6:03 | just say a word about this car some of you may have noticed this recently I just give a a quick mention
  • 6:10 | to another Channel nothing to do with models in this occasion but there’s a channel called Matt Armstrong and he’s a mechanic um I think he’s in South
  • 6:18 | Yorkshire in the UK and he works with his father um and he’s um quite a sort
  • 6:25 | of a loud sort of bubbly buoyant sort of guy but he he is current or has just
  • 6:31 | finished working on one of these that he bought from America on I think on eBay and had been uh delivered or rather
  • 6:38 | collected by its owner taken for a spin went to see a friend and then on his way home took the scenic route home and and
  • 6:45 | then lost control of the car and actually spun it through uh some trees
  • 6:51 | small shrubs and then into a lake and actually full on you know James Bond
  • 6:56 | Roger M the SP who love me straight into the water underneath gun and he managed to get out
  • 7:02 | luckily not drown um and this car was completely submerged and it was running hot at the
  • 7:08 | time you know so these are not good things and this guy Matt the mechanic in the UK Matt Armstrong he he bought this
  • 7:16 | and went just on you know without seeing it and went over to America to collect it and oh major Bodywork damage damage
  • 7:23 | to the roof dummies to the rear the there was cracks in the in the pillars
  • 7:30 | um worse though the engine the the block had been affected and got water in the cylinders which is death engines like
  • 7:38 | especially when they’re running hot got rust in the cylinder in the cylinder wall there was um a crack in it crack in
  • 7:44 | the cylinder wall and in the end he had to buy a new block and he had to buy so many had to
  • 7:49 | buy a new roof I think he bought did he buy a new Bonnet or was it repaired can’t remember I think the body may have been repaired yeah we had to have a new
  • 7:57 | roof had to have a new electronics anything electronic seemed to get frazzled so the instrument binacle
  • 8:04 | controls uh I think the ECU may have been replaced and it went on and on and and you know you name it the list and
  • 8:11 | and what is impressive about why I mention this I’m going to put a link Down Below in the description to this last video that he’s
  • 8:18 | just produced and he basically um he has no experience of Porsche um I
  • 8:25 | w’t say Porsche tour but certainly no experience of these and basically learns
  • 8:31 | on that he’s got he’s got a lot of contacts he’s got friends at work at po he’s got friends at work in other parts of the industry um through his his his
  • 8:37 | garage business and he just begs steals borrows and buys you know so many things
  • 8:44 | you know so many things uh I mean I’m not going to S I can sit here and talk about it all day it’s fascinating I’ll
  • 8:49 | put you the link in but you’ll never see anybody more utterly motivated now
  • 8:55 | there’s a lot of these um channels on YouTube like this where they there a lot of false false drama and all this stuff
  • 9:01 | you know but there’s no false drama in this it’s just full on drama and at the beginning I I was watching this and I
  • 9:06 | mentioned it to a friend of mine I said there’s no way I touch this even when he finished it I wouldn’t buy it and I wouldn’t but it’s it just shows what you
  • 9:15 | can achieve in life this guy really impressed me what you can actually achieve in life if you really are determined enough to to to succeed I
  • 9:22 | mean I talked about my model C Harrier imagine that to the power 1000 and that’s what this is about it’s
  • 9:28 | overcoming every challenge you know you couldn’t get the gearbox to work this wouldn’t
  • 9:34 | work that wouldn’t work and they have to keep you know going back and and doing more and it doesn’t show all the
  • 9:39 | research it must have taken so much effort to achieve this and he rebuilds this car you know they take out the the
  • 9:46 | roof section they have to take out the the middle beam across here has been replaced and it’s all cracked and broken
  • 9:53 | and it’s just so many things and broken windows and I mean the thing was a wreck
  • 9:58 | and I just looked at it and said to friend said well I wouldn’t even touch this I wouldn’t even touch it and and I think you paid
  • 10:03 | $130,000 for it I wouldn’t have given you 30 for it it was just a mess and you
  • 10:08 | know the thing all this stuff have been under the water and anyway it does make
  • 10:14 | very very fascinating watching and it’s this car so anyway I don’t want to go on about that too much but I will put you the link let you have a a watch of it
  • 10:20 | yourselves but trust me you it will it people in the comments are all saying
  • 10:26 | that’s it I’ve just watched an hour of this and and it wasn’t long enough enough sort of thing but I think he did four bits in total so it shows pretty
  • 10:33 | much everything you know and they think they’ve got so each it’s like a thousand battles to win the
  • 10:39 | war you know and he thinks he’s won the battle and then he Suddenly at the last minute finds that it doesn’t work and so
  • 10:44 | on the headlight doesn’t work you know and so on and so on and so on and and it’s just try how do you get around the
  • 10:51 | problem without just throwing money at it but I haven’t heard the final numbers yet it would be very interesting cuz I
  • 10:56 | think there’s retailing for about 100 was it about 185,000 something like that don’t cor me
  • 11:02 | on that but this is a typical problem with these um limited cars from Porsche within hours the only way you can get
  • 11:09 | one by the way is by being chosen by the dealer apparently because they have a very
  • 11:15 | short rout of them um and there’s only so many coming to the UK for example I think there’s only about I don’t know 15
  • 11:21 | or 20 or something like that maybe quite that’s probably not the right number but it’s not a lot of cars you have to be
  • 11:28 | selected and to be selected you’ve got to play this game with the dealers and all that
  • 11:33 | stuff where you’ve got to bought lots of cars up them I’m not into that but you know even if you’re a millionaire you won’t be able to get your hands on one
  • 11:39 | other than buying it from someone who sold it on to a specialist and this is what happens so they doubling they
  • 11:45 | doubling price in a in a matter of days very expensive toys anyway let’s have a look at the kit so we have here it’s the
  • 11:52 | very latest thing from Tamia it’s it’s one of the highlights of 2024 supposed to be says it’s very late
  • 11:59 | um it’s a it’s got some very amusing uh stuff on it as I mentioned it’s uh it’s
  • 12:05 | got this beautiful hologram on it the official Porsche uh endorsed
  • 12:12 | product there it is isn’t that nice Porsche there we go
  • 12:19 | yes it’s pronounced Porsche I’m told by reliable source and you going have it in red you can have it in white I think
  • 12:25 | there’s a black version uh oh yes here we go black on the other side side
  • 12:31 | and and then finally there’s a bit of a WR up here and it says the uh in
  • 12:38 | 20122 uh this the addition to the legendary ever evolving Porsche 911 series the 911 GT3 RS is a high
  • 12:45 | performance rad car with strong circuit orientated design and the Bonnet and uh the wings
  • 12:52 | have vents in them the roof is carbon fiber as is the Bonnet also has fins on them massive rear wing drag reduction
  • 13:01 | system and it goes on to say it’s got a rear mounted flat cylinder six flat
  • 13:07 | sorry six-cylinder engine providing 525 PS uh 124 scale kit let’s have a look at
  • 13:13 | it then without further Ado because this is something I was hoping to have in my kits of the year I was pretty sure it
  • 13:21 | would probably get on the podium or thereabouts say if it’s going to win don’t know uh probably yeah probably not
  • 13:28 | but probably get third or second good chance of it let’s have a look at what we got so I have removed the Staples
  • 13:34 | already cuz that would be a pain so we got plenty of plastic trying to remember how it goes I
  • 13:39 | think it’s one of these very tight [Music] packages and there we are now there’s
  • 13:47 | some nice supporting BL background of the car background of the
  • 13:54 | car some of which I’ve already read you I think um B
  • 14:00 | yeah they go on a bit I won’t read all this because it’s probably a bit too long we really
  • 14:05 | um however it says um how they the engineers at viac
  • 14:12 | and this is the vceac pack by the way which has got everything included in it it’s got the visc logos for the the
  • 14:18 | headrests of the car on the seats and also the visc anti-roll bar sorry roll
  • 14:25 | cage I should say which is all carbon um um and it says that they pursu
  • 14:32 | lightweight throughout it’s got a pdk double clutch transmission weighing only
  • 14:37 | 1,400 kilos which for a car of this performance is light you know I mean that’s half the weight of a Bentley
  • 14:43 | isn’t it basically um and it’s got uh they’ve even pursued the lightweight uh
  • 14:49 | principles right down to the the Porsche shield on the bomit being a decal not a
  • 14:55 | badge to make it lighter um
  • 15:00 | it’s got carbon fiber bucket seats DRS whiches door straps in in place of
  • 15:08 | conventional door handles again for lightweight uh and there is no doubt it will enjoy countless successes and its
  • 15:15 | latest iteration of a true legend and people are going you know there’s plenty of videos on YouTube where people are
  • 15:20 | trying to almost cut their own arms off to get the hands on one of these very impressive car anyway let’s have a look
  • 15:26 | at the modeling so there’s you very nice it’s all in Japanese on this side it’s got a bit of
  • 15:32 | English there so let us see what we have here so it’s basically the ultimate Porsche
  • 15:39 | currently um comes with a very nice typical Tamar uh instruction book in this
  • 15:46 | slightly odd uh it’s almost like a fil SC size isn’t it that they use and here we go now I will I will
  • 15:54 | make comments as we go through this relating to this rebuild video I’ve just already mentioned because it will remind
  • 16:01 | me of all the the various components and and challenges that they fac and it you
  • 16:06 | get a lot of information and background about these cars and how they are how they are designed and constructed so we
  • 16:13 | start with the floor which is why I mentioned that just then um uh we’ve got
  • 16:19 | Tam our various body colors they’re they’re offering you five colors uh two colors for the wheels
  • 16:26 | three colors for the the body Al I’ve got to say say that um the one in the
  • 16:32 | video the car that was rebuilt was actually painted shark blue which I think is a beautiful color and it does
  • 16:37 | look good in it actually anyway they’re saying pale white GS red or black as the main body colors but then here we have
  • 16:43 | got it stage one we have got the the underbody CU it has a lot of aerodynamics on this car and the flat
  • 16:51 | under body is a big part of that and you can see here um it shows fx16
  • 16:59 | to highlight where the bolts are that fix the under body and this chat Matt Armstrong one of the last jobs they did
  • 17:04 | was put this under body on and it took them it took them something like a day day and a half cuz there’s so many bolts
  • 17:10 | and they all have to be tored up correctly so there’s a lot of fixings on this uh and then you can see the the
  • 17:16 | Formula One style diffuser on the left there at the back um which is actually painted lp5
  • 17:23 | which is semi gloss back by the way I noticed in this kit that they Ed the lp lacer paint range is the predominant
  • 17:30 | paints that they’re recommending um but you can you know you can always use the X gloss range acrylics or the XF uh the
  • 17:39 | mat range um however for the body shell I would go with a recommendation on the ler paints
  • 17:46 | because you get a better finish then oops over here we’ve got the
  • 17:52 | exhaust system and the exhaust tail pipes Sports exhaust and that going to be fitted into your chassis here you’ve
  • 17:58 | got your side skirts going on there as well uh there you’ve got what looks like
  • 18:04 | the uh steering uh steering rack assembly and then here we go so we got
  • 18:11 | the the only thing I have a slight question is when I had a quick look at this is it says rear uprights when it
  • 18:16 | gives the uh the detail there uh descriptive detail for stage two well they’re not really rear uprights it’s
  • 18:22 | hubs isn’t it um I think sometimes they get lost between English and American
  • 18:28 | terminology and sometimes they just have a little bit of a Japanese moment I think but
  • 18:33 | they call it rear uprights but I would really call that the the the wheel hubs because you’ve got the brakes and the discs going on there and and then
  • 18:40 | ultimately you’ve got your um your universal joints and drive
  • 18:46 | shafts coming in as you can see with the the boots on uh you’ve got your these got these
  • 18:51 | adaptive dampers of course um and they have these uh Rose
  • 18:58 | jointed Knuckles uh and Joints on the suspension making it very direct and
  • 19:03 | very precise for track work so it’s not going to be the most comfortable on the road especially where I live anyway then
  • 19:10 | we’ve got the attaching the rear dampers don’t mention dampers to me on my on my own car the Honda we don’t want to talk
  • 19:16 | about that at the moment obviously because it’s still not resolved but anyway adaptive dampers do have a place
  • 19:21 | on the car L this Porsche racer they don’t really have a place on a Honda estate but anyway I’ll move on look look at the
  • 19:29 | clarity of these instructions it’s showing you the the angles that you should be out everything’s there isn’t it so you’ve got your front basically
  • 19:35 | your front suspension and your discs and your hubs uh all gone in
  • 19:40 | there uh sorry sorry I’m saying front ex the rear uh and then you assemble it in
  • 19:45 | there um mounting it to the floor then you’ve got your wheel arches coming in at the front then you’re going to do the
  • 19:53 | same for the front wheel hubs or uprights as they call them assembling your front hubs
  • 19:59 | with your brakes and your calipers and your discs then you’ve got your um front
  • 20:04 | uprights now now yes now it is upright so they call it front uprights anyway
  • 20:09 | it’s just a terminology issue isn’t it so you got your front uh Shockers dampers again adaptive dampers shows you
  • 20:17 | very clearly the angles they should go in at then you’ve got your actual steering
  • 20:22 | rack coming in uh and it will actually steer and it
  • 20:27 | shows you how it should should click in uh to the uh to the lower Knuckles
  • 20:35 | there and shows how the the steering wheel steering arm sorry will operate
  • 20:41 | then we’ve got this visc pack I mentioned the uh the roll cage which is
  • 20:47 | actually carbon fiber I don’t know if it has a they just show it being painted black it is actually carbon
  • 20:53 | fiber uh and attaching it shows the attachment points here this is the interior of the car we’ve got out now
  • 20:58 | now so you can see instead of having rear seats as it does in the normal 911 it has this roll cage
  • 21:05 | instead uh it has a fire extinguisher it looks like under the seat good
  • 21:11 | idea and then we’re getting the interior really getting well under the way so we’ve got the center console and you’ve
  • 21:16 | got this is a pdk gearbox so it looks like a gear shifter but it’s really a gear selector um and you’ve got some very
  • 21:23 | interesting things here they’ve actually got a very impressive day Cal which I’ll show you later a decal for the seat
  • 21:29 | stitching which looks really good uh you’ve got the bucket seats which are carbon fiber um with these big squabs at
  • 21:37 | the side and then you’re going to mount all all that center console and your seats going in there then you’ve got
  • 21:43 | your pdk um paddles and your steering wheel which has got lots of controls on it uh things like the DRS among others
  • 21:52 | got quite a lot of switches on it actually which is unlike Porsche it’s more of a Ferrari thing uh you’ve got
  • 21:57 | your sort of B IAL cover to keep Reflections off it and you’ve got your
  • 22:03 | um chronometer clock for lap times goes in the middle and it’s got some decals
  • 22:09 | for all the instruments then you got your door cards door panels as they call
  • 22:15 | them going in here um and yeah it’s just basically the the the
  • 22:22 | internal door trims uh and then they is that the door itself that’s the
  • 22:29 | OU door no that’s it is just the door card the inner door and then basically you bring in all this the door cards and
  • 22:35 | the uh instrumentation pod uh that’s all coming together sorry one thing I should have
  • 22:41 | shown you which I sort of glossed over a little bit too much there just wanted to draw your attention to this this is the pedal box and they have decals for the
  • 22:48 | pedals which look really realistic they’re really absolutely amazing um so you have a foot rest and
  • 22:54 | you’ve got the uh the brake and the accelerator pedal of course there’s there clutch cuz it’s pdk
  • 23:02 | semi-automatic so you then got your entire interior which going to drop into the onto the
  • 23:08 | floor and one big great big unit then we’re going to be working on
  • 23:15 | our this is the rear deck at the bottom of the wind screen which if it’s the
  • 23:20 | engine deck if you will it covers the engine and fans um and again this was something
  • 23:26 | that was quite amusing in that rebuild of the real car it connects it all up and the the fans actually work no problem um but the they
  • 23:33 | couldn’t get the DRS to work there was a glitch with the electronics which they cured in the end um so you’ve got the uh
  • 23:41 | the are these covers right and left covers which is for the oil and water so you got quick access to
  • 23:48 | them and then he had a problem with those cuz he had to replace those by the way and they have a a little colored
  • 23:54 | stripe in the middle and it’s a bodyc colored stripe and he ended up putting what you can only get red ones with red
  • 24:00 | stripe on it but on the blue car but he didn’t bother to be honest it looked quite good I thought and then we get
  • 24:06 | into the really interesting stuff so we’ve got all this carbon fiber and this is all by via decal so you got to be a little bit careful bearing in mind Tam’s
  • 24:12 | decals can be quite thick I’m sure they’ll have made it a bit of an effort with this one because it’s got so many
  • 24:18 | tricky decals I’m sure they’ll be fairly reasonable to to manipulate and you’ve
  • 24:23 | got metal transfer stickers for the mirrors you’ve got uh carbon decal for the rear and the roof and that trim on
  • 24:30 | the um the Bonnet I mean the Bonnet is all carbon fiber but some of it is body
  • 24:37 | color some of it isn’t some of it’s raw then you got your rear diffuser well
  • 24:42 | your rear uh bumper vender uh and then you’ve got all these
  • 24:48 | like rubbing strips got the lower strip for the front and for the rear and there’s a lot of detail work you got to
  • 24:54 | be a little bit careful uh with these some very lining and stuff you need to
  • 24:59 | do then You’ got your rear uh lamp cluster which has got this uh like a a
  • 25:06 | brake light that goes right the way across um and then your main uh fog
  • 25:13 | lights down there as well you’ve got your Porsche inserted Porsche logo and
  • 25:19 | your bodyc colored duct tail spoiler which is which doesn’t move that’s that’s kind of permanent uh and then you
  • 25:26 | got your front bumper or front fender going on on complete with uh it’s got the side um
  • 25:35 | side lights and then we start with the some of this Arrow stuff so you got these very intricate Arrow channels CU in this
  • 25:43 | car unlike most 911s which have a front uh trunk or boot at the front this
  • 25:49 | doesn’t that that space is filled with a really great radiator so it has a radiator that is uh for aerodynamic
  • 25:56 | reasons they didn’t want to have a very deep chin area because that is draggy so
  • 26:02 | instead they have the radiator set further back and it has a massive fan driving the air out so it comes uh you
  • 26:10 | know they’re working the air over the body as well so it’s all part of the aerodynamics really then we’ve got our front and rear
  • 26:18 | windows um and the actual trim strip around at the front where the wipers
  • 26:23 | will go you’ve got your side windows here uh and you’ve got a little bit of masking to do now I understand the
  • 26:29 | masking set I understand the masking set is quite special in this uh in this
  • 26:34 | model I am told that they’ve actually got the masks
  • 26:40 | preut for you which is I’m not sure if that’s a first for time you it might be certainly not something I’m very
  • 26:45 | familiar with so they’re actually pre-cut you don’t have to do any cutting so that’s a really good step forward and
  • 26:51 | I do hope it’s a sign of things to come from them because they need to do that you know we’ll look at that in a second
  • 26:57 | anyway so going back so you got your windows going in here you’re going to have to
  • 27:02 | mask them up and because you got a lot of areas where there’s a bit of window trim then you got your
  • 27:10 | wipers wipers coming in here um you’ve got your rain sensor at
  • 27:16 | the top of the wind screen and then you’re going to actually put in these front and rear glass that’s going to go
  • 27:22 | in there then over here we’ve got the internals where you got the
  • 27:28 | the rear view mirror and the internal uh interior lights and you got the same over on
  • 27:35 | sorry at the back you’ve got the air intakes for the engine and the side
  • 27:41 | panel and you got these rather interesting AO pieces which are basically guide veins for the air um
  • 27:48 | going uh to to duct some air away at the side in like a Formula 1 car and some of
  • 27:54 | it they want to duct into the brakes although there are separate brake intakes underneath can I check it the
  • 28:01 | fun I didn’t actually notice that look on the plastic but there was an issue uh there is an issue where does it show it
  • 28:09 | yeah it’s kind of not obvious but they have these DS underneath whoops there it comes in like my thumb and then gets
  • 28:15 | scooped up into the brakes in that direction anyway digressing and then we got the headlights got these LED
  • 28:21 | headlights which are quite impressive on this car jly expensive um and this this
  • 28:27 | re build I was talking about I think they quoted that they were ยฃ1,800 per side ouch buy a lot of wing wings lost
  • 28:35 | arcs with that got you so don’t get breaking your headlights you own one of those anyway then we’ve got the um the
  • 28:42 | duct in here the internal uh bits of the uh where the fan is on the inside of the
  • 28:47 | Bonnet or trunk hood hood sorry and then we’ve got we’ve got some
  • 28:53 | um masking for your headlights so you can get the surround bit with the the nice glossy lp5 which is gloss black I
  • 29:01 | think am I right semi gloss black yeah um so that’s that getting those ready to
  • 29:07 | go in then you’re going to fit your actual uh side windows for the doors and
  • 29:13 | then you’ve got these vents which bleed air out to reduce any pressure buildup
  • 29:18 | in the wheel arches youve got these vents that blow the air out backwards uh preventing any lift in the
  • 29:25 | Arches and you’ve got these rather impressive looking strikes on the roof like an
  • 29:31 | aircraft then finally you’re going to meet bring the the chassis and the car body together and then you’re moveing on
  • 29:37 | to your wheels and tires when they look rather special these do uh they got Center loock wheels on these it doesn’t
  • 29:43 | have wheel bolts it has a center lock nut like a racing car bringing those in
  • 29:49 | here and and they’re going to be actually be fitted then into your car just leave some of the fine detailing
  • 29:55 | things like side repeaters uh uh you’ve got these Arrow the arrow exit guide veins at the back
  • 30:02 | of the wheel Arch again lot of concentration of Arrow around the Arches ducting the air and using it and then
  • 30:10 | and then focusing it away in the right in the right direction same on the opposite
  • 30:17 | side uh and then you’ve also got these uh mountings for the where the the door
  • 30:26 | handle is going to go in there and then ultimately you’ve got things like the mirrors to go on get to that in a second
  • 30:31 | then youve got your swan neck this huge rear wing the DRS activated rear wing uh where the flap opens and
  • 30:40 | closes um in fact the wing itself tilts up I think doesn’t it basically
  • 30:46 | uh and you can see I don’t know if you get the option to actually have it open or short doesn’t seem to say that but
  • 30:55 | there’s a little bit of detailing work to do around the swan neck Mountain see the lower element forward element is
  • 31:02 | body colored and the rear element is all carbon and then you get the the Porsche
  • 31:07 | logo on the back which is something we saw them fitting on that in that video I mentioned on the real car and then it
  • 31:12 | says snap it snaps into place that looks quite cool doesn’t it that snap almost
  • 31:19 | like a snap F and then finally it’s just the detailing of your mirrors you so you got mirrors with carbon on them and then
  • 31:25 | they mount onto the sort of uh the sort of lower uh arm of the
  • 31:32 | mirror uh the lower mounting i’ probably do your if I was you uh if you’re going
  • 31:38 | to build one of these i’ definitely do the carbon fiber bits first before you stick it to the Lower Mountain CU it going be a lot easier to
  • 31:44 | manipulate um so in other words you want to do treat them as two
  • 31:50 | separate assemblies uh do that last and do this with your carbon fiber deal on it first get those all done separately
  • 31:58 | and then you mount the mirrors on and your Porsche 911 GT3 RS is complete you just need to make sure you spray up the
  • 32:04 | body which could be a tricky one but obviously I think most of us will do that early in the process so there we
  • 32:10 | go it looks very very impressive I’ve got to
  • 32:16 | say now I am a bit of a veteran of these Tamar kits made quite a few of
  • 32:22 | them I’ve still got the force 928 from 1982 I built that would you believe I’ve
  • 32:28 | still got my Toyota GT86 which I built in 2014 I think 2013 2014 so they were all
  • 32:38 | superb kits I really enjoyed building them all so I don’t think we’re going to have any major problems now then we have
  • 32:44 | got one bag I haven’t opened yet which is this one so I’m going to actually get the knif on it just excuse me for a
  • 32:52 | second got missed
  • 32:58 | take a look at the plastic see what we’ve got now then let’s see the body then
  • 33:05 | start with the body I’ll tell you what before we get into the pl let me do the usual thing and do the decals Cu uh all
  • 33:11 | these ancillary Parts like decals there’s quite a few of them in this kit so some are won’t open which is
  • 33:17 | basically going to be these tiny bags like this is the
  • 33:23 | mirrors that say oh you got some like little
  • 33:28 | like little tiny rivets I’m not sure where they I think might be the reversing sensors I think for the uh
  • 33:35 | yeah for the parking sensors just in here and then those are just the mirrors
  • 33:41 | basically and then the internal uh RAR view mirror as well so I’ll leave that
  • 33:46 | as it is but the rest we’ll take a proper look at and I wanted to draw your attention
  • 33:51 | to this uh this decal set this is really really impressive because you have even
  • 33:57 | got here this is the the central lining uh stitching fabric of the seat haven’t
  • 34:04 | they done a nice job with that that’s really really
  • 34:10 | nice trying to get in the right light but he’s got this beautiful
  • 34:16 | stitching that’s really cool the way they’ve done that you’ve got all your instruments here for your instrument
  • 34:24 | pod then you’ve got your this is this says visak RS uh cuz it’s the visc division the
  • 34:31 | Motorsports division of Porsche that produce these cars uh You’ then got it’s all that
  • 34:37 | about instruments not sure what that is there
  • 34:43 | actually sure what this one is some sort of instruments and then you got the top of the binle
  • 34:49 | here you’ve got your uh your Porsche badges look at those little tiny Porsche
  • 34:55 | stickers that go on the bonnet because as we said they to keep the weight down they have a a decal rather than a proper
  • 35:02 | badge and then I think most impressive of all is these these pedals here on the left so that’s
  • 35:09 | your footrest and your brake pedal and your accelerator pedal all in decal form
  • 35:15 | and all looking really realistic got to say not sure this is coming out so well
  • 35:21 | on the camera but yeah I love that stitching the way that they’ve done the seat so they’ve thought of everything haven’t they that’s the main uh inter
  • 35:29 | internal deal and then we got the external ones decal say
  • 35:35 | corly so you’ve got it in the white GT3 RS you got it in the
  • 35:40 | red and then you’ve got your Bonnet decal here with carbon fiber see if I
  • 35:49 | get yeah that’s nice isn’t it and you got your
  • 35:54 | mirrors and then you got your roof carbon fiber roof
  • 36:00 | got a little tiny GT3 RS logos that go on the back and then youve got the
  • 36:06 | option of the GT3 RS logo and Porsche logo in the blue or indeed in the
  • 36:11 | black really attractive day Cals those and these are the side skirts I think at
  • 36:17 | the no sorry it’s the sorry it’s the rear wing isn’t it lower rear wing and upper rear wing element the back
  • 36:24 | element beautiful absolutely St in there aren’t you there was a nice decal so that’s that then we have got and I was
  • 36:33 | particularly impressed with this when I first saw it I’m hoping this comes out on the camera this
  • 36:41 | is very much Focus here come on this is our set of uh
  • 36:48 | masks and they are preut masks now can I get this on the camera can you see that
  • 36:54 | I don’t know if it’s going to come out or not I think you get the you’ll get the impression if I just you see that
  • 37:02 | they’re preut yep now that’s a first isn’t it to me it is anyway I’m not
  • 37:08 | seeing any kits recently that have had that on we always Grumble about having to cut out our tamade uh masks Mas set
  • 37:17 | now they’ve actually gone and giving us giv us exactly what we needed the correct shape the correct profile you
  • 37:24 | just peel them off let see if I can demonstrate this
  • 37:33 | yeah you can clearly see it there can’t you clearly see it
  • 37:43 | yeah there not going to do anymore cuz I don’t want to we don’t want to cause any
  • 37:48 | issues there but yeah so now we don’t have that that horrible problem
  • 37:53 | anymore which is long overdue frankly from Tamia so one of the grumbles that I always
  • 38:01 | have decals and this one of them’s gone uh those decals don’t have that very
  • 38:08 | chunky thi thick look they often do which I don’t like either so to be honest it’s looking pretty good so I’m
  • 38:14 | going to putp those away and then we’re going to have a little
  • 38:22 | looky that’s the plastic so look at the body shell
  • 38:30 | now I’ve seen I said I’ve seen some examples of this finished and I’ve said it before I say
  • 38:35 | it again if there’s one manufacturer who excuse me if you really wanted to
  • 38:42 | get away with it cheating and deceiving like Terry
  • 38:47 | Thomas and didn’t want to paint it now this is one of those kits if you wanted
  • 38:52 | to have a white example you’d probably need to do a little bit of you know um panel lining
  • 38:59 | just to get the door shuts looking a bit more realistic but that’s easily done that’s quite easily done but you could
  • 39:04 | really cuz you’ve got all these black parts and you’ve got all these carbon fiber effects you can quite easily maybe
  • 39:09 | just paint the wheels and that’s kind of it and it’s the interior of course but you don’t have this horrible nightmare
  • 39:15 | that puts so many of you off and me too in previous years of having to paint the body shell and then screw it up and you
  • 39:22 | get dust in it and it’s not smooth enough it’s not glossy enough this does
  • 39:27 | need anything this has got no flaws in the plastic whatsoever nobody will notice you do it as the white
  • 39:34 | one you can you know go for the blue wheels or the red wheels or whichever you want really but if you do want to
  • 39:41 | paint it it’s a beautiful surface you know to Prime and paint uh and I I painted my GT86 and I painted the
  • 39:47 | Porsche so don’t get the impression I never paint my cars I just sometimes
  • 39:53 | don’t paint them if I think that they are good enough if I think the plastic is on that level that that you could get
  • 39:59 | away with it and this is one of them anyway let’s Zoom you in you can see this in a bit more detail enough my chitchat let’s have a look at the
  • 40:06 | plastic as you always say just show us the plastic shut up get on with it here
  • 40:13 | we go now look at this can you see what I mean about the
  • 40:18 | excellent about the excellent plastic you know now you know to paint this white
  • 40:26 | you’re not going to probably achieve as as perfect a you know smoothness as
  • 40:32 | you’re going to get here um however I must admit I’ll be tempted
  • 40:38 | to I like the sharp blue I’d like to paint it sharp blue it’s not a standard color but I think it’s an option I think
  • 40:44 | it’s about 30 grand or something but it’s a very very nice bit of plastic
  • 40:50 | that you know it’s I mean it’s not a it’s not a simple
  • 40:55 | shape it’s very comp complex shape indeed and they’ve aced it they’ve aced it it’s got the the Pagoda type roof
  • 41:04 | which of course is um it’s got the indents in it this is so they can have it thinner and stronger by the way
  • 41:09 | that’s the idea so that’s why it’s not a flat roof and then like a normal car uh
  • 41:15 | and they did a similar thing with the GT86 can you see that the pagota style on the indentation it’s kind of a fluted
  • 41:23 | roof uh so you can have quite thin carbon fiber and still have a lot
  • 41:29 | strength uh and a lot of the body panels in this car are carbon fiber I think the doors are I think the doors are the
  • 41:35 | Bonnet the roof and I think I think the front Wings
  • 41:42 | not the rear I don’t think they tend to make the sort of
  • 41:47 | central uh stiffest part of the body they tend to make it in
  • 41:53 | aluminium but a beautiful thing beautiful thing so there we go so that’s the
  • 41:58 | body then we’re going to look at everything today by the way we are going to see every
  • 42:06 | part uh then we’ve got our clear parts now this is a very critical set of parts I’m going to be gentle with
  • 42:13 | this still b anyway my Sam a protecting
  • 42:20 | it I never do like it when T Tom assist on these staples don’t they and I don’t think that Staples clear Parts go
  • 42:28 | together do you check this out you’ll never see clear Parts better than this I
  • 42:33 | think our friends in Ukraine at ICM they get pretty close don’t they but this is uh this is
  • 42:39 | big and it’s very beautiful and it just has zero
  • 42:45 | Distortion which is one of the areas where they are very strong so we’ve got our rear glass
  • 42:55 | there rear glass you’ve got the various bits of where the lights are uh you’ve
  • 43:02 | got your headlight covers
  • 43:07 | there Lovely by the way if can rattling in the background we’ve got quite a bit of a
  • 43:13 | cold wind and there’s a lot of leaves bloating around at the moment outside so sorry about that there’s your side
  • 43:19 | windows again they’re just perfect there’s no Distortion I’m looking with
  • 43:24 | the uh the Box behind and there’s virtually no Distortion maybe a tiny tiny bit on those side windows toward
  • 43:30 | the top but not like you normally see you know on clear parts so it’s so
  • 43:39 | perfect I’d say there’s there’s less than 2 3% Distortion and on the wind
  • 43:44 | screen and the rear screen I can’t really see anything that I would call Distortion despite the shape of it you
  • 43:51 | know that’s beautiful beautiful clear part
  • 43:58 | so no problems there then absolutely
  • 44:03 | Stellar put that back in there so far so
  • 44:08 | good I mean I don’t I’d be surprised if we see anything that’s really going to upset me
  • 44:20 | here only the only challenge you might have is with the de house I think right
  • 44:25 | next then we’ve got the interior and the door
  • 44:31 | cards and uh there’s quite a few ejector pins
  • 44:37 | around here I’ve got to say however pretty certain looking at it and quite
  • 44:43 | certain that all those are covered by various other components including the dashboard so don’t don’t be too you know
  • 44:51 | judgmental so there’s there’s none here where it’s visible just over here and over here this is where the dashboard
  • 44:58 | comes across the top anyway and here you’ve got the central all the trim with your instruments and switches and your
  • 45:04 | armrest so nothing is visible so that’s none of this is an
  • 45:09 | issue you can forget I mentioned it then you’ve got your instruments here
  • 45:15 | instrument panel left hand drive
  • 45:21 | unfortunately um you have got here is our old cage which is
  • 45:27 | actually carbon fiber I’m surprised I didn’t put a carbon fiber dayam but I suppose it’s just be almost impossible
  • 45:33 | to get it to stick on and as it’s not seen that much it’s kind of it would be Ott wouldn’t it really but that’s front
  • 45:41 | and rear of the roll cage you’ve got your uh steering wheel
  • 45:49 | here steering wheel with all the little switches on it including the DRS uh you got right beneath it of
  • 45:56 | course is the binacle with the indicator stalks and the uh cruise
  • 46:02 | control and then beneath that we’ve got the uh the actual it’s should actually
  • 46:07 | be this way for this particular piece um it’s your uh paddles for the pdk
  • 46:17 | gearbox and then over here we’ve got the the top of the instrument binle and the rear view mirror sorry it’s no no it’s
  • 46:24 | not it’s not a inst ble it’s the the overhead lights sorry interior lights where the the mirror fits onto
  • 46:34 | there and then over here we’ve got the pods for the mounting of the actual
  • 46:44 | headlights and then we’ve got part of the door cards uh we’ve
  • 46:50 | got uh that’s part of the we don’t get
  • 46:56 | an engine do we it’s the only we don’t get in this kit actually but the trouble is with these cars you don’t see the engine so it’s almost impossible for
  • 47:02 | them to do it it’ be completely pointless I mean an interior kit on a
  • 47:08 | tank would make more sense than doing that but look at these beautiful beautiful
  • 47:16 | beautiful pccb Porsche carbon ceramic brakes discs
  • 47:22 | aren’t those nice see the other side on the side yeah you can’t see anything
  • 47:28 | on the other side so it’s only on one side on the exterior side that you see all the drilled effect so you carbon
  • 47:36 | discs over here we’ve got this center console I talked about which covers where the ejector pins are here’s your
  • 47:42 | armrest which flips up cup holder here this is where the gear shifter is then
  • 47:48 | where it mounts in that is the gear shifter in fact see it just here of my thumb
  • 47:56 | that’s very nice that’s a lovely sprew yeah can’t fault it no issues no
  • 48:04 | glitches no flash no nothing at all there are no nasties whatsoever
  • 48:12 | there it’s exactly what you’d expect isn’t
  • 48:22 | it down there that h
  • 48:27 | then we have got our floor now this is this was interesting when I saw this uh the videos on YouTube when they were
  • 48:35 | rebuilding this car and they had they said oh yeah just put the floor on and it took them he said it was 65 million
  • 48:41 | bolts he said slight exaggeration uh but there are quite a lot of them In
  • 48:47 | fairness and look at the shaping look at the arrow this so we’ve got Arrow veins underneath which can you see
  • 48:55 | that in this yes can you see there they are you see the arrow fins which ducked
  • 49:01 | here which duck the air out they try to fun it
  • 49:06 | out um away from the the center of the car uh so they’re basically working the
  • 49:14 | air those veins are and they’re all molded in for you and then youve got all these bolts which hold on this huge flat
  • 49:22 | floor and then ultimately you come to your rear diffuser which looks absolutely epic doesn’t it
  • 49:29 | it really does look nice look at that RAR diffuser like a Formula One car
  • 49:35 | which of course creates downforce at the back that’s really really nice your side
  • 49:43 | skirts over whoops side skirts over here and then you’ve got your swan neck
  • 49:51 | uh arms that support the rear the great big rear spoiler DRM
  • 49:58 | system and then over here you’ve got this is the rear deck where the rear
  • 50:03 | center brake light is and then you’ve got either side you’ve got um these
  • 50:09 | covers where you actually can access the oil and water you’ve got your front uh air dam intake for the radiator
  • 50:18 | and the intercoolers that’s panel there is one
  • 50:24 | that goes uh the deducting panel that forces air out through the hood or
  • 50:31 | the Bonnet after it’s been worked by through this fan great big
  • 50:37 | fan and then over here you’ve actually got the rear spoiler it’s the back of it actually this is the rear carbon fiber
  • 50:44 | element of the spoiler in Black isn’t that
  • 50:50 | lovely it’s just Flawless isn’t it it’s it’s Plastic Fantastic quite literally
  • 50:58 | and then you’ve got these beautiful little uh these are the aerodynamic
  • 51:03 | vents on the Bonnet yeah the is ducted out the sorry I said
  • 51:11 | the Bonnet it’s the the front wings or fenders so the this is the the vent that
  • 51:17 | stops the buildup of pressure in the actual uh wheel
  • 51:23 | archers and then you’ve got these are the the various ducks and uh and sort of
  • 51:28 | turning veins which then manage that air from the wheel archers themselves I mean absolutely
  • 51:37 | amazing and then these are these are two of the Bonnet trims carbon fiber
  • 51:45 | dots absolutely fantastic well I’m I’m very impressed with that that’s a really nice
  • 51:51 | sprew so far so good it’s looking it’s looking like another winner
  • 51:56 | from Sam are isn’t it this and there if you’ve never built one of their car kits and you have got any interesting
  • 52:03 | cars you should definitely find one that you might like and try it because they go together beautifully they really
  • 52:12 | do uh and you know it makes you appreciate the real
  • 52:17 | car and some of the engineering that goes into them so here’s the white sprew so here we’ve got quite a lot of the
  • 52:23 | body um Parts we’ll start off with the wheels though very lightweight uh I think the
  • 52:29 | magnesium in fact rather than alloy uh these wheels the BAC spec
  • 52:36 | Wheels very very light 10
  • 52:41 | spokes um and as I say I I would yeah probably paint them maybe
  • 52:48 | they I’d go for smoked cuz I think again these are things that can be optional on the real car so I can probably go with
  • 52:55 | the smoked silver look or maybe the red I don’t know and then we get into all the seats
  • 53:02 | detail so we’ve got a lot of detail these um Porsche carbon fiber seats Sports buckets as they call
  • 53:08 | them this is part of the visc pack and here are these actual seats the squabs
  • 53:14 | that you end up putting that daycare I showed you the insert with all the the red and black stitching which looks
  • 53:19 | absolutely epic I think that look really nice give it a real 3D look you
  • 53:25 | know and then here is the exhaust system it upside down obviously uh and the uh
  • 53:31 | this is where the exhaust themselves come out at the back do we see the exhaust
  • 53:38 | pipes can’t say that I’ve seen those unless I’ve just missed
  • 53:44 | them I must have missed them where were they exhaust
  • 53:49 | pipes uh yeah don’t knowly missed that and then here you’ve got the uh this is
  • 53:56 | the rear mounting for the uh rear
  • 54:02 | suspension youve got your rear wing here this is the the forward element of the wing looked it that way so see on the
  • 54:09 | other side so you’re looking at the bottom of the images is front and rear
  • 54:14 | and the back and then we’ve got our wheel HPS over
  • 54:22 | here and you’ve got your pedals um brake pedal I think that is brake pedal and that’s your accelerator
  • 54:34 | pedal and then you got your um suspension dampers and the drive shafts those look
  • 54:41 | nice don’t they not sure why they’ve done them in white that’s a slightly curious choice of color I thought
  • 54:48 | surprised that wasn’t on the black sprew to be honest they would normally be here of course is your steering rack
  • 54:57 | [Music] umom else we’ got fire extinguishers we’ve got
  • 55:04 | some various things like the indicators the wheel
  • 55:12 | nuts fire [Music] extinguisher
  • 55:19 | yeah very nice I miss about the exhaust pipes so I must have missed that I’m going to go back and just check that in
  • 55:25 | a second but that’s a nice sprew one of two odd choices with the
  • 55:31 | the way they put them on the white sprew things like the uh yeah the drive shops I’m not sure why
  • 55:36 | they maybe they just run out of space on the other sprw I’m not advocating you don’t paint
  • 55:44 | anything in these kits at all no it’s really the body shell isn’t it the thing that frightens people to
  • 55:50 | death and it’s been striking when I’ve been doing some of these recent car reviews Kit reviews several of you
  • 55:56 | saying oh I’ve got that in my stash I don’t do it I don’t and there is a lot of fear about doing these high gloss
  • 56:01 | finishes because I’m sure many of us have done them and they’ve gone wrong including me and this is why I learned
  • 56:07 | to be a cheater and deceiver become a cad modeler um basically because yeah I’ve
  • 56:15 | had a few bad experiences just trying to find find our our exhaust pipes cuz I’m sure oh
  • 56:23 | there they are there they are yes I didn’t I missed them I missed them let’s just go back this so I didn’t pick up on it right here they are it’s just not
  • 56:30 | paying attention they’re just the top here
  • 56:35 | little pipes see them there they are that’s your exhaust
  • 56:41 | pipes there hollow and that’s the actual where they come out of the main
  • 56:47 | exhaust uh exit and that’s the tail pipes themselves there they
  • 56:54 | are they look uh they look really good don’t they they still look nice
  • 57:01 | actually yeah okay
  • 57:07 | um yeah as as I was saying uh I think it’s a shame that so many people are put
  • 57:13 | off both figures and cars and things with high finishes um figures yeah figures are
  • 57:19 | probably trickier and do need more practice but the there’s ways to cheat your as I’ve said in one of my previous
  • 57:25 | videos cheat your way to Victory with cars uh it’s worked for me not all of
  • 57:31 | them are cheated of course I’ve got some that I’ve done the hard way like the Porsche 917 the Leon casty McQueen in it
  • 57:37 | that was done in the traditional painting way but if you are you know if you’re
  • 57:46 | put off doing it then that’s a shame so I think really we’ve got to if you get the right kit you can you can do it
  • 57:53 | without putting yourself through all that pain and you know it’s all about
  • 57:58 | enjoyment at the end of the day isn’t it you want to get a nice result um you’ve got to
  • 58:03 | remember very few people if you do a half decent job very few people are going to judge you negatively they just
  • 58:09 | see a nice Porsche or whatever Ferrari or whatever it is aren’t these nice look at
  • 58:16 | these can we just see that look at these uh these are the the air um veins just
  • 58:24 | ahead of the wheel Arch look at the Gap in it they’ve got the open cuz that’s what it’s trying to do it’s trying to
  • 58:29 | split the air and send some of it w wide away from the wheel out away from the
  • 58:35 | car and it wants some of it to be retained uh and to blow in the direction
  • 58:41 | of the brakes basically through the cutout in the arch when you see it like that that’s really impressive isn’t it
  • 58:48 | look at that and then this is the rear uh sorry it’s that way this is the
  • 58:54 | rear um sort of Val once at the back where the lights go number plate goes in
  • 59:00 | there and then of course you got your your exhaust system comes in
  • 59:05 | here oops that’s nice isn’t
  • 59:12 | it I mean they just they get the shaping of these so exquisitly done you know and
  • 59:17 | tamy are not having this ultimately sharp tooling actually works in their
  • 59:23 | favor on cars and motorbikes I think I think that’s when it actually works correctly because you know uh I think
  • 59:31 | some of this Ultra sharp tooling sometimes on some of the military vehicles and one of two of the aircraft it perhaps just doesn’t quite look right
  • 59:39 | but on a vehicle yes it does it’s absolutely perfect and that’s probably why they have it because it’s a style
  • 59:45 | they’ve developed by doing all these cars and bikes over here spills into their other products
  • 59:50 | and then last but not least we have got our tires are they all the same size
  • 59:57 | I don’t think they are pretty sure they’re not that’s the rears the rears
  • 1:00:02 | are wider than the front for sure pretty sure yeah they are so here’s the front
  • 1:00:09 | tires have a look at these so these will be in reality there’ll be Pilots
  • 1:00:14 | mitchellan Pilot Sport cup cup two cup
  • 1:00:22 | two now the only thing that the only disappointment on these cuz they are beautifully done and they’ve even got
  • 1:00:27 | the tread spot on they’ve got this asymmetric tread that ducks uh water out towards
  • 1:00:35 | the exterior to throw it outwards from the car outboard the only just point is
  • 1:00:42 | there’s no writing I can’t see any they haven’t got any writing on they Haven any tread
  • 1:00:47 | detail on probably because they didn’t want to do a deal with mellin which is slightly disappointed but then again you know you can’t really
  • 1:00:54 | see it you won’t see it anyway unless you’re seeing it on that camera I can’t see any any logos or writing on the side
  • 1:01:01 | whatsoever but the actual tread is gorgeous and there’s no scene that I can see either so they have acce these tires
  • 1:01:09 | that’s stunning that’s the front and then you’ve got the wider rear here let’s
  • 1:01:16 | look at the rear I think this has got a bit of the same as it struggling with my glasses
  • 1:01:23 | please bear with me one moment just struggling a bit
  • 1:01:28 | here no it’s not a seam it’s just no it’s not a seam it’s just the central channel in actual fact on the tire it
  • 1:01:35 | has a central uh uh concave uh Channel
  • 1:01:40 | and they are absolutely beautiful look at that even
  • 1:01:46 | you know the way they’ve got the the cuts in the uh Cuts or cypes in the shoulder so as
  • 1:01:54 | you’re looking at it I’m pretty sure that my this finger is on the inboard and this is on the outboard of the
  • 1:02:01 | car they’ve got those Treads just fastic mellin cut two
  • 1:02:08 | tires wow that is absolutely
  • 1:02:16 | beautiful what do you think there’s some there’s a few
  • 1:02:21 | polycaps there as well just in the bag and then that’s it really so
  • 1:02:26 | quite a lot to take in there a completely new product from
  • 1:02:32 | Tamia I am going to just organize myself slightly here you
  • 1:02:38 | just be with me in one second and we’ll finish off
  • 1:02:43 | and
  • 1:02:51 | so I think that’s it righty H well
  • 1:02:56 | what do we make of that I think it’s 10 out of 10 I can’t
  • 1:03:02 | really find any reservations whatsoever there as I say the the plastic so
  • 1:03:07 | perfect you could get away without painting if you wished uh you know so it’s painting’s not for everybody and if
  • 1:03:14 | it puts you off that model don’t be don’t be just do it as per the the white
  • 1:03:19 | one that’s on the cover you’ve got remember you’ve got all this beautiful decals for all the the carbon effects
  • 1:03:24 | and it will make it pop you know and if you can just do a tiny bit of just um panel line accented which you can easily
  • 1:03:31 | do trust me just a little bit of panel line accent in for the door shuts it’ll look epic it really will look nice uh
  • 1:03:39 | and paint obviously you got to paint your your wheels and things but to get away from this terrible fear that people
  • 1:03:44 | have of paint in the body shell if that’s worrying you don’t be put off this kit by that just go with the white
  • 1:03:51 | one and do it as you see maybe do blue or gray you can do the wheels any color you want
  • 1:03:56 | frankly um and the rest is they’ve got it covered cuz they’ve got you know decals for the interior on those seats
  • 1:04:03 | and absolutely amazing stuff it’s a brilliant kit I love it it hasn’t
  • 1:04:08 | disappointed the only disappointing thing about it it was a bit late so it’s 10 out of 10 from me hope you’ll give me
  • 1:04:15 | 10 out of 10 with a thumbs up gives a like what did you think did you find that was uh did you thought was a nice
  • 1:04:21 | kit uh do you agree with my thoughts the only the only tiny
  • 1:04:26 | reservation I have that would the only concern I have building it is just about how easy the decals are how they can
  • 1:04:33 | form but we’ve seen people have already built this and it seems to gone relatively
  • 1:04:39 | smoothly those decals don’t have that usual High chunky look to them um and I
  • 1:04:45 | did I’ve mentioned before that some of the other recent foret which one ones I was looking at in the last year or so
  • 1:04:52 | was it the um the F35 they’re definitely I think they are getting the message you
  • 1:04:57 | can see how they’ve listened a little bit they’ve gone and given you cutout pre-cut mask set which they haven’t done
  • 1:05:05 | before they they are listening and I do think those day Cals are not as thick as they used to be they’re not as thick as
  • 1:05:10 | they were 10 years ago and I think you’d be fine um just take your time use plenty of decal softener uh and I say if
  • 1:05:17 | you don’t want to paint it you don’t need to but if you do want to paint it Well’s your oyster Well’s your oyster
  • 1:05:23 | the only question is will it take you as long to build the kit as my Armstrong to to rebuild that real one where don’t
  • 1:05:30 | have tell you this part he actually got the shell because of the damage to it he got a shell from Germany which had had
  • 1:05:35 | an accident on a track day at the front I think and he he bought the the body
  • 1:05:40 | shell so he ended up with a a sort of a Frankenstein car really a body shell from a German car um which had German
  • 1:05:50 | electronics in it that had been the water but unfortunately they wouldn’t talk to the uh there was some sort of um
  • 1:05:56 | pairing uh electronic pairing between the engine and gearbox that was American
  • 1:06:01 | and the German car and he had all sorts problems but anyway it’s taken a while it’s taken them best part of a year I
  • 1:06:07 | think to to get through that um but it’s very interesting so I say I’ll I’ll leave a link to that you’ll find it if
  • 1:06:14 | you’ve got any interest in the subject to talk you’ll be fascinated it’s incredible and you’re thinking why don’t
  • 1:06:19 | you just give up you know but he just doesn’t give up and I and it it’s good for modeling actually this is why I
  • 1:06:25 | mentioned about this particular YouTuber it reminds us not to give up
  • 1:06:30 | when you get confronted by terrible problems example you know let’s say the worst thing happens and you you like my
  • 1:06:36 | review and you think a that’s a nice kit I’m going to buy that I’m going to paint it sharp blue and then you screw it up
  • 1:06:43 | well you can get if you talk to Hobby Co the Imports you can get spare parts for
  • 1:06:49 | Tamia uh may take a what because of the distance of course but you often can get
  • 1:06:54 | them to provide spare so never give up never that video I was I was like I
  • 1:06:59 | don’t believe he’s he’s got the motivation to even get up in the morning and and do it again you know and then
  • 1:07:05 | find every day there are negative problems coming at him like rain you
  • 1:07:11 | know and he doesn’t let any of it beat him he was very impressive Matt so Matt’s watching probably isn’t but well
  • 1:07:17 | done Matt you did an absolutely Stellar job and it’s a an example to us all never let things defeat you in life
  • 1:07:23 | that’s the uh that’s the real real takeaway from it anyway that’s it from me hope you thought that was interesting enjoyed seeing the very latest kit
  • 1:07:30 | that’s coming uh from tamama uh I I say 10 out of 10 because
  • 1:07:35 | it is that good uh and if if that’s the sort of uh kit model that floats your
  • 1:07:41 | boat go buy it I paid $39.99 for that so
  • 1:07:47 | um uh yeah I think it’s it’s very competitively priced kit you get a lot for your money uh and it look really
  • 1:07:54 | nice on your shelf at the end especially with all carbon effects cuz it makes it pop you know fantastic anyway that’s it
  • 1:07:59 | from me for now thank you very much for joining me um don’t forget to subscribe if you

  • 1:08:17 | I’m actually working on the mosquito don’t expect too much but I am making progress and that’s the important thing
  • 1:08:23 | I’ve got going again yeah uh I’ve got out of this rut hours in uh psychological rut and I’m now steadily
  • 1:08:29 | making some progress and building it uh and I don’t want to rush it anyway just because I’m behind I that’s a that’s a
  • 1:08:36 | mistake you’re trying to you you’re rush into making mistakes if you do that you’ve just got to do your modeling
  • 1:08:42 | process your way so that’s what I’m going to do but there’ll be an update on that and lots of other things to show
  • 1:08:47 | you very soon so in the meantime thank you very much for watching stay well stay safe and until next time thanks a
